How short is the summary?
About a fifth of the original length or less, as one paragraph. For something shorter, run the summary through the paraphrasing tool in Shorten mode.
Can it summarise a PDF or a web page?
Not directly. Copy the text out of the PDF or page and paste it here, in parts if it is longer than the word limit.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no account and no payment. Each rewrite can be up to 1,000 words, and you get 40 rewrites a day. The result is never blurred or cut off.
Why did it say the AI is busy?
The tool runs on free AI capacity that is shared by everyone using it. When that runs out for a moment, wait a minute and try again.
What happens to the text I paste?
It is sent to an AI service to produce your result and is not stored by this site. Do not paste passwords, personal identity numbers or anything confidential.
Should I check the result?
Always. The AI can change a meaning, drop a detail or get a fact wrong. Read the result against your original before you use it.
